Why the bushing swap on a miata sucks

Each lower arm has two cammed alignment bolts. The cam position should be noted before disassembly so that the bolt can be reassembled to something close to the original. The car will still require an alignment, but your wheels might not be that cockeyed while you drive to the shop.

. There are 8 of these alignment bolts. It is a good idea to buy replacements before starting.

 
 
The old alignment bolts may break, or you may have to cut them off, The new ones are stronger anyway,  

The long bolt on the front upper arms comes off pretty easily.
 
 
Bushings can be removed/inserted by a press, or by a bushing tool, or a jig made up of washers, nuts, and a bolt.
